Allegiant Animal Care is looking to hire pet sitters & dog walkers for our York clients!

Working as a professional pet sitter brings you a combination of a secure position that will grow over time if desired, the physical benefits of lots of exercise, and the mental health benefits of fresh air, exercise, spending tons of time outdoors, and all the unconditional love and rewards that come with working with and caring for animals.

Since 2012, Allegiant Animal Care has been providing loving care to York, PA pets.

We are looking for new sitters to join our amazing team of pet lovers!

We have multiple OPEN positions from East York to West York. All positions start as part time and can steadily build.

My goal for my team is to love what they do, feel valued, find their work rewarding, take pride in the important services we’re offering to our clients, establish meaningful relationships with the pets, the clients, their employer, and their coworkers.

This can be a crazy, fast-paced ever changing type of job where one day’s schedule is rarely the same as another

(actually appealing to many who dread monotony).

To that end, I make it as easy as possible by utilizing an online schedule,

place you with clients that are within a 10 mile radius of your home and provide all necessary training.

Why Allegiant Animal Care?

- You can be proud to work for a company owned by a female entrepreneur who has poured all her heart and soul into providing the highest level of pet care services for the last 9 years.

- You will be an Independent Contractor with your insurance and bonding paid for you!

- Competitive wages for the industry with opportunities for additional pay through tips & referral bonuses, and Holiday bonuses!

- Work for a company with SO much room for growth, which means positions for hard workers are secure and the more availability you give, the more effort will be put into building up your schedule.

- Work independently and enjoy a stress free day!

- Have a passion for working with animals. You are not just looking for "a job" but are specifically wanting to work with animals long term.

- Own a reliable, insured vehicle

- Live in one of the areas we provide services to.

- Have a flexible schedule. We work in time blocks throughout the day but we will place you with clients that work into your availability.

- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and Holidays is a plus!

- Be looking for LONG TERM work. You should not already have an end in sight due to a move, school, another job, etc. Commitment of at least 1 year required. **This is not an appropriate option for someone looking for a temporary job to tide them over if what they usually do is not currently an option

- Be able to handle several hours of walking a day in ANY weather, including when it’s snowing, very hot & humid etc. Additionally some pulling, standing, lifting etc.

- Be very detail oriented. We don't just "walk the dog". We're handling feeding, meds, bringing in mail and paper, rotating lights, setting out trash, watering plants, etc. These tasks need to be remembered and tended to reliably.

- Have excellent customer service skills that will shine through in both your note writing and when meeting with clients.

- Have a very strong work ethic, show passion and enthusiasm for your work, rarely call out, and be extremely reliable.
